Payment, Refund, Withdrawl and Dismissal Policies...
Your signature on the Sea|mester application indicates agreement with all terms, conditions and refund policies published on our website, in the brochure and on the registration and application form.
- Berth deposits are only refundable should Sea|mester withdraw the provisional acceptance during the formal interview.
- Ninety days prior to the course starting date, half of the tuition is due. The tuition balance is due sixty days prior to the course starting date.
- Tuition is considered overdue 5 business days after a payment due date.
- Sea|mester reserves the right to cancel students with overdue tuition payments in order to accept waitlisted applicants into the program or apply a $100 late fee to the outstanding balance.
- Payment dates and policies do vary for those applying within thirty days of the program start date, please call for details.
- Tuition payments are accepted by check and wire transfer. Credit cards may also be used for tuition payments, but the tuition amounts will be slightly higher, as our published tuition fees reflect a 3% discount for direct payment.
- There are no refunds of application fees, deposits or tuitions.
- The program director reserves the right to dismiss any student who, in his view, is detrimental to the program. In this case, or in the event of a withdrawal for any reason prior to, or during the program, no refund is possible.
- The program director reserves the right to dismiss any student who is; a. in breach of (or associated with those in breach of) any agreement as set forth in the student code of conduct or b. anyone who is, in the directors judgment, detrimental to the program. In any dismissal case, or in the event of a withdrawal for any reason, no refund of fees paid is possible. Also, it should be understood that the costs of any additional travel, housing and flights that are incurred for both the departing student and staff chaperone (when required) are the sole responsibility of the student or his/her parents.
- INSURE YOUR INVESTMENT: Sea|mester provides complete information regarding trip cancellation and tuition insurance policies for your consideration on our website and recommend that all students utilize these policies when making payments in order to minimize the risk of financial loss in the event of unexpected cancellation. Visit the Insurance Page HERE.
Any two consecutive voyages may be joined to form one extended program. In the interim between voyages, shipmates typically return home or may select to travel around the local area. In rare instances, and for an additional fee, students may be invited to stay aboard the vessel over a shorter layover period. Due to the limited number of berths available, Sea|mester is unable to extend discounts to those selecting to combine voyages.
Since a combined voyage is considered an extended, single program, the same withdrawal and refund policies apply, meaning that if a student is dismissed for misconduct early in the trip then no refund of fees paid for the second voyage will be made.
Please contact the Florida Office on 800.317.6789 (941.924.6789) for more information relative to double voyage enrollment, policies and terms. |
